Software Development Company in Maharashtra
Software development for businesses across Maharashtra
TantraDev Information Technologies LLP is a software development company with one office — C1304, C1305, 41 Evoke, Ravet, Pune 412101 — and clients across Maharashtra. We work remote-first: repositories, staging environments, sprint reviews and written decisions are the day-to-day, with travel to Mumbai, Nashik, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar or anywhere else in the state for kickoff, milestone reviews and anything that has to be seen in person. We do not operate branch offices, and we will not pretend otherwise on a landing page.
Maharashtra is not one market, and a page that treats it as one is not worth reading. Mumbai's demand for software comes out of banks, insurers, brokerages, the exchanges, and a media and advertising industry that sits alongside them — regulated, reconciliation-heavy, audit-first work. Pune and the Pimpri-Chinchwad belt run on engineering, automotive and IT services. Nashik pairs agri-processing, horticulture and the wine industry with the manufacturing estates at Satpur and Ambad. Nagpur sits where the north-south and east-west national highways cross, with rail and the MIHAN cargo hub next to it, which makes logistics, warehousing and agricultural movement the local industry. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) is auto components and pharmaceuticals, concentrated around the Waluj and Shendra estates. The software each of those places needs is genuinely different.
Our office is in Ravet, at the north-western edge of Pune inside the PCMC area, and that is the only office we have. Everywhere else in Maharashtra is a service area. In practice that is less of a constraint than it sounds. The state fits inside a single working day of travel, and we keep the same clock and the same calendar as every client in it. The parts of delivery that actually decide whether a project succeeds — the specification, the architecture argument, the code review, the deployment — were never things that happened because two people sat in the same building.
Travel is for the rest. The first week, when you are still working out what is actually being built. The milestone review where a demo needs to be watched rather than recorded. And the visits that have to be physical: a shop floor where the software will be used, a server room, a device that only exists on site, or a room full of people who need training at once. We budget that into the engagement and say up front how often it will happen.
Engagements start at around Rs 25,000 for a focused, well-scoped task and run up to Rs 25 lakh and beyond for full products and long-term SaaS or enterprise work. We are technology-agnostic — the stack follows from the problem, from what already exists, and from who will maintain it after we hand it over.
How it works
What “serving Maharashtra” actually means
- One office, in Ravet — everywhere else is a service area
- TantraDev has a single registered office: C1304, C1305, 41 Evoke, Ravet, Pune, Maharashtra 412101. There is no Mumbai desk, no Nagpur branch, no Nashik representative. When we say we serve a district, we mean we take on work from clients based there and travel to them; we do not mean we have people sitting there. Any software company that lists a dozen city addresses across Maharashtra is usually listing coworking mailboxes, and it is worth asking which of them a project team actually occupies.
- Remote-first is the working mode, not a fallback
- Day-to-day delivery runs on shared repositories, a staging environment you can open at any hour, tickets that carry the reasoning and not just the task, and a scheduled call cadence — typically a short weekly working session plus an end-of-sprint review. Decisions that matter get written down, because a decision that lives only in someone's memory of a meeting is the thing that breaks first at distance.
- Travel for kickoff, milestones, and anything physical
- We plan on being in the room at the start of an engagement and at the review points where showing beats describing. From Ravet, Mumbai is roughly three to three and a half hours by expressway, Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar are each a four-to-five hour drive, and Nagpur is a short flight or an overnight train rather than a day trip. That shapes how we schedule: nearby cities can be same-day visits, Nagpur gets planned as a block of two or three days so the trip is worth the distance.
- Same clock, same working day, same holidays
- We work Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 19:00 IST. So does everyone else in Maharashtra. There is no overlap window to negotiate, no handoff note written for someone waking up eleven hours later, and no waiting until tomorrow for an answer to a question asked at 3pm. Public holidays line up too, which quietly removes an entire class of scheduling friction that offshore arrangements never escape.
- One entity, one state, straightforward contracting
- TantraDev Information Technologies LLP is registered in Maharashtra. Contracts are Indian contracts under Indian law, invoicing is in rupees, and for a client also registered in Maharashtra the engagement is an intra-state supply for GST — your finance team will recognise the treatment without a call to anyone. No foreign remittance paperwork, no currency exposure, no cross-border data-transfer question to answer before work can start.
The honest case
Why a team in one place can serve Maharashtra
- A branch office in another city would be an address, not an engineering team. The honest version is the one we run: senior engineers in one place who show up in yours when it changes the outcome, and who are reachable the rest of the time.
- Distance inside Maharashtra costs a day, never a timezone. A question asked in Nagpur at 11am is answered in Ravet at 11am. That is a different problem from working across continents, and it does not need the same machinery to solve.
- The work is already distributed whether anyone travels or not — code lives in a repository, environments live in a cloud region, reviews happen in pull requests. Sitting in the same building does not change any of that; it mainly changes how many decisions go unrecorded.
- Remote-first keeps the money in engineering. You are not paying for a satellite office's rent through a rate card, and the travel you do pay for buys a specific thing on a specific date rather than a permanent overhead.
Where the work is
Sectors we build for across Maharashtra
Financial services, payments and lending
Mumbai concentrates the country's banks, insurers, brokerages and exchanges, along with much of the payments and lending industry built on top of them. The engineering that market demands is particular: ledgers that balance, reconciliation you can defend line by line, complete audit trails, and integrations with rails whose behaviour you do not control and cannot patch. We build and maintain that kind of system.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad belt, Nashik's Satpur and Ambad estates, and the Waluj and Shendra estates around Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar are component, assembly and process country. The software that matters there is unglamorous and load-bearing: production and quality capture on the shop floor, dealer and service portals, dispatch and stores tracking, compliance reporting, and the layer that lets a plant system and an accounting system agree on the same number.

Nagpur's position on the national road and rail crossings, and the cargo infrastructure at MIHAN, make movement the local business — freight, warehousing, cold chain and agricultural distribution. Those systems are mostly integration problems: transporter and carrier interfaces, e-way bill and GST endpoints, scanner and device feeds, and reconciling records between systems that were never designed to agree with each other.

Companies with long operating histories — and Maharashtra's industrial and trading firms have plenty — often run on an internal application older than anyone still working on it, with the original developer long gone. We take those over: read the code, document what it actually does before touching it, get it into version control and a test harness, then modernise in increments that never take the business offline.

Hospital groups, diagnostic chains and clinic networks headquartered in Mumbai or Pune usually operate branches across the state, including in towns with unreliable connectivity. That turns into concrete engineering constraints — data that has to sync rather than assume a live connection, patient records with real access controls and audit logs, and role models that survive staff turnover at every site.

Questions
Working with us from elsewhere in Maharashtra
Do you have an office in Mumbai, Nagpur or Nashik?
No. TantraDev has one office, in Ravet, Pune (C1304, C1305, 41 Evoke, Ravet, Maharashtra 412101). We take on work from clients across Maharashtra and travel to them, but we do not maintain branch offices, coworking addresses or local representatives anywhere else in the state, and we would rather tell you that plainly than list city addresses that turn out to be mailboxes.
Will you actually travel, or is it calls only?
We travel. The standard pattern is an in-person kickoff at the start of an engagement and in-person milestone reviews at the points where showing the work beats describing it, plus any visit that has to be physical — a shop floor, a server room, hardware that exists only on site, or a training session for a whole team at once. Frequency and who bears the travel cost are written into the proposal before you sign, not raised as an extra later.
How do you handle a Mumbai client day to day?
The same way we handle a Pune one, plus a car. Ravet sits at the Pune end of the Mumbai-Pune expressway, so Mumbai is roughly three to three and a half hours by road and comfortably a same-day return trip for a morning meeting. Between visits it is the normal cadence: a weekly working session, sprint reviews, a staging environment you can open yourself, and answers during the same working hours you keep.
What about Nagpur or Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar — those are much further away.
They are, and we plan differently for them. Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar are each a four-to-five hour drive from Ravet, so visits are scheduled as full days rather than a morning. Nagpur is a short flight or an overnight train, so we block two or three days around a trip and use them properly — kickoff workshops, shop-floor or warehouse observation, and training in the same visit instead of three separate ones.
How does contracting and GST work if we are elsewhere in Maharashtra?
Simply. TantraDev Information Technologies LLP is registered in Maharashtra, so a client registered in the same state is an intra-state supply and your finance team will already know the treatment; invoicing is in rupees under an Indian contract. There is no foreign remittance process, no exchange-rate exposure, and no cross-border data-transfer question to resolve before work starts. Your accountant should still confirm the tax treatment for your own registration.
What size of engagement do you take on across the state?
A focused, well-defined task starts at around Rs 25,000. Full product builds, SaaS platforms and long-term enterprise engagements run to Rs 25 lakh and beyond. Distance within Maharashtra does not change the pricing — it changes the travel plan. If a small piece of work would need frequent on-site presence in a far district, we will say so during scoping rather than quote around it.
